Student team wins first place at SECU Academic Conference

A team of students affiliated with Dr. Sagy Cohen‘s Surface Dynamics Modeling Lab took home first place at the SECU Academic Conference’s Campus Waters Matters Challenge in Starkville, Miss., yesterday. ┬áThe team of consists of Iham Ali, Samuel Downs, Mariam Khanam, Zoe Miller, James Misfeldt, Dinuke Munasinghe, Zachary Stephens, and Julia Zimmerman.

The team presented their project “Design of a Retention/Infiltration Basin and Bioswales: Alleviating Flooding and Water Quality and Use Issues Near Bryant-Denny Stadium.” You can read more about the conference and the first place team on SECU’s website.
