Student team wins first place at SECU Academic Conference

A team of students affiliated with Dr. Sagy Cohen‘s Surface Dynamics Modeling Lab took home first place at the SECU Academic Conference’s Campus Waters Matters Challenge in Starkville, Miss., yesterday.  The team of consists of Iham Ali, Samuel Downs, Mariam Khanam, Zoe Miller, James Misfeldt, Dinuke Munasinghe, Zachary Stephens, and Julia Zimmerman.

The team presented their project “Design of a Retention/Infiltration Basin and Bioswales: Alleviating Flooding and Water Quality and Use Issues Near Bryant-Denny Stadium.” You can read more about the conference and the first place team on SECU’s website.
